I'm experiencing loss of electrical power to my Mk5 Golf. It seems to happen mostly when the car hasn't been run for two or three days. We changed the battery a few months ago. More recently, there was a loss of power and the car wouldn't start. We'd diagnosed it as the alternator, which was replaced.
4.2k. Posted June 3, 2013. We had the same issue in our Bora TDi 1.9 115bhp model. Ours started with a very small loss of coolant when travelling on the Mways over a long distance. Would loose about a 1/4 of the coolant bottle. Locally it would not loose any so suggested it was while the car was at high revs for prolonged periods.

1. Removed the Passenger seat to get access to the yellow side airbag connector. 2. Disconnected the connector from the seat, Inspected wires, routing, pins and crimps as well. Sprayed with electrical cleaning spray several times (used the nozzle so solution gets well inside the socket and pin side).
