The batteries in all Retina MBPs are glued to the top case, so you get a new one of those when swapping. In the 12” MacBook, the battery is glued to the bottom case instead. In the MacBook Air, the battery is attached by screws. I sent my 15inch with the recall for replacement, they only replaced the battery.

Hi, recently i replaced the bulging battery in my mid 2015 15" macbook pro, after doing so, the keyboard, backlight and trackpad all do not work at all. Some things i have done Resetting SMC and PRAM does not work, because the only button that works is the power button.
